The Importance of Routine: From Teenagers to Thriving Businesses

School's out, the beaches are calling, and it's grad season! While my teens are loving their newfound freedom by barely making it downstairs before midday and grunting non-verbal responses to their plans, I've been observing their transition from a structured school schedule to zero routine. This made me realize how essential consistency and routine are for all of us.

Asking my 15-year-old about his plans results in a suspicious look and an "I dunno, nothing..." Without structure, they'd spend their days glued to their phones or laptops. It's not just us humans who need consistency and structure—our businesses thrive on it too.

If you are getting teenage vibes from your business, it's time to develop clear systems and set objectives. It might feel challenging initially, but soon you'll have a business that runs like clockwork, prospers, and becomes a joy to be around.
